HUMAN-LED, AI-ASSISTED ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

TFC Legal Insight is a human-led service. TFC Legal Insight remains responsible for its decisions, documents and client interactions.

Artificial intelligence may be used in a limited supporting role to assist with:

• Organising information already provided to TFC Legal Insight
• Structuring administrative summaries and timelines
• Formatting and improving the presentation of TFC documents
• Drafting general correspondence and service information
• Researching publicly available procedural information

AI does not hold the client relationship, make decisions, verify evidence or exercise human judgment.

PROTECTING THE CLIENT’S OWN WORDS

A client’s account belongs to the client.

TFC Legal Insight does not use AI to replace, manufacture or materially rewrite a client’s recollection. AI is not used to:

• Invent or complete missing information
• Suggest what a client should remember
• Change uncertain information into a definite fact
• Remove inconsistencies from a client’s account
• Strengthen allegations or make an account appear more persuasive
• Determine whether a person is truthful
• Decide what constitutes evidence
• Create a formal police statement, witness statement or court document
• Provide legal advice, legal representation or advocacy

Where TFC Legal Insight prepares an administrative summary, it is reviewed by an authorised member of the TFC Legal Insight team. The client is then asked to identify factual errors, missing context or information requiring clarification.

Administrative summaries remain summaries. They are not substitutes for the client’s own account or for a formal statement prepared under the direction of the police, a solicitor or the court.

HUMAN REVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITY

AI may assist with organisation and drafting, but it does not approve the final work.

Every client-facing document prepared by TFC Legal Insight is subject to human review by an authorised team member.

TFC Legal Insight remains responsible for deciding:

• Whether the document accurately reflects the material provided
• Whether quotations and administrative summaries are properly distinguished
• Whether limitations or uncertainties need to be recorded
• Whether the work falls within TFC Legal Insight’s administrative role
• Whether the client should be directed to a solicitor or another regulated professional

No automated decision is made about a client, the client’s credibility, the merits of a case or the action the client should take.

DATA MINIMISATION

TFC Legal Insight takes reasonable steps to minimise the personal information used during AI-assisted administrative work.

Where practicable:

• Full names are removed or replaced with initials or role descriptions
• Exact addresses and unnecessary location details are omitted
• Only the information necessary for the administrative task is used
• Sensitive details that are not required for the task are excluded
• Original legal documents, complete evidence bundles and unredacted client records are not submitted to general-purpose AI tools

CLIENT-SUPPLIED AI MATERIAL

Clients must tell TFC Legal Insight when a document has been created, rewritten or organised using ChatGPT or another AI service.

Client-supplied AI material:

• Is not treated as having been prepared by TFC Legal Insight
• Is not independently verified or certified by TFC Legal Insight
• Will not be presented as a TFC Legal Insight witness statement or verified factual account
• Must be checked by the client against the original information
• Should be discussed with the client’s solicitor before being submitted to the police, a court or another authority

TFC Legal Insight may pause or decline work where the authorship, source or accuracy of material cannot be established.

STATUS OF AI-ASSISTED TFC DOCUMENTS

Where appropriate, TFC Legal Insight documents may include the following notice:

“AI assistance was used for limited administrative organisation and drafting. This document received human review by an authorised member of the TFC Legal Insight team. It is not legal advice, a witness statement or independent verification of the underlying information.”

OUR SERVICE BOUNDARY

TFC Legal Insight provides administrative case organisation, practical preparation and client support.

TFC Legal Insight does not provide reserved legal services, legal representation, advocacy or case-specific legal advice. Clients remain responsible for obtaining advice from their instructed solicitor or another appropriately regulated professional.
