TFC Legal Insight: Our Focus on Domestic Abuse Support Until December 2026

Supporting people through difficult circumstances, with dignity, understanding and practical guidance.

Between now and December 2026, Thrive Forward Coaching (TFC) will be placing particular focus on supporting people affected by domestic abuse through our Legal Insight service.

As we continue working with clients experiencing domestic abuse and its consequences, we are becoming increasingly aware of the difficulties many people face when trying to understand their rights, the support available to them and the services they may be able to access.

There is considerable confusion surrounding the support offered by government departments, charities, solicitors, the police and other organisations. Some people do not know where to begin. Others have already approached several services but remain uncertain about what assistance they can receive or what steps they should take next.

We are also seeing something particularly concerning: people experiencing domestic abuse who are living on extremely low incomes or facing serious financial difficulties, and who believe they cannot afford to ask for additional support.

We want you to know that financial difficulties should not prevent you from contacting us.

Understanding Your Circumstances

TFC Legal Insight was created to offer practical, human-centred support to people who need help understanding legal information, correspondence, documents and administrative processes.

We understand that receiving a letter from a solicitor, court, government department or another organisation can be overwhelming, particularly when you are already dealing with distressing personal circumstances.

Sometimes the difficulty is not knowing what a document means. Sometimes it is understanding what information is being requested, which organisation to approach or where to find appropriate assistance.

Our role is to help you understand the information available to you, organise your concerns, identify possible sources of support and consider the appropriate next steps.

We do not provide regulated legal advice or legal representation, and we do not replace solicitors, legal aid providers, the police or specialist domestic abuse services. Where your circumstances require professional legal advice, safeguarding intervention or specialist assistance, we will explain the limits of our service and help direct you towards more appropriate support.

Above all, we believe that people deserve to be listened to and treated with dignity.

What If You Cannot Afford Our Services?

TFC Legal Insight is a paid service. Like any business, we have operating costs and responsibilities, and our work must remain financially sustainable.

However, we recognise that some people experiencing domestic abuse are also facing significant financial hardship.

If this describes your circumstances, please do not assume that you cannot contact us simply because you are worried about the cost.

We carry out an initial screening to understand the nature of your enquiry, whether our service is appropriate and what assistance may be available.

Depending on your circumstances and our capacity, we may be able to discuss an affordable option within our services, provide limited initial guidance or direct you towards another organisation that can offer the support you require.

We cannot promise free services, financial assistance or reduced fees in every case. What we can promise is that we will consider your enquiry respectfully and explain what we can realistically offer.

If you are seeking financial support connected with legal proceedings, legal aid, housing, benefits or other essential needs, we can help you identify relevant sources of information and organisations to approach. Where appropriate, we can also help you organise your questions and information so that you can communicate more clearly with the relevant services.

Legal aid is separate from TFC Legal Insight. Eligibility and funding decisions are made through the appropriate legal aid arrangements, not by TFC.

We cannot create or guarantee a financial support package for you, but we can work with you to explore practical, realistic options within the boundaries of our services.

You Are More Than Your Circumstances

One of the reasons TFC Legal Insight exists is because we recognise that behind every document, enquiry and administrative process is a human being.

A person may be experiencing domestic abuse, financial hardship, family difficulties, uncertainty about legal proceedings or simply confusion about a letter they have received.

Whatever the circumstances, that person deserves to be treated with respect.

Our work is not about forcing people to disclose painful experiences or making decisions on their behalf. It is about listening, understanding what assistance they are seeking and helping them find greater clarity about the support available.

We have been receiving enquiries from women experiencing considerable distress. We want those women, and anyone else who may need our assistance, to know that their circumstances will be approached with sensitivity and without judgement.

You do not have to understand every legal term or administrative process before asking for help.

Support Across TFC

Thrive Forward Coaching offers different services, each with its own purpose and professional boundaries.

Alongside Legal Insight, our private coaching services provide structured support for people seeking personal clarity, direction and greater understanding of the circumstances affecting their lives.

We also offer dedicated support for carers through our Carers' Reset Sessions.

Our coaching services have their own pricing structures, reflecting the time, preparation and depth of the work involved. Where appropriate, we can discuss available options while remaining mindful of both your financial circumstances and the sustainability of our business.

Legal Insight, coaching and our other services are distinct. We will help you understand which service, if any, is suitable for your enquiry.

TFC is a business, and we are committed to building a sustainable organisation. We have responsibilities, expenses and people whose work must be valued.

But we are also a human-led business.

Our commitment to financial sustainability does not remove our responsibility to treat people with compassion, dignity and respect.

We believe those responsibilities can exist together.

How to Contact Us

We are a very small team, and much of our working time is dedicated to supporting clients. For this reason, we kindly ask that you contact us by email or WhatsApp message rather than telephone, as we are often unable to answer calls.

We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

For your initial enquiry, please send only a brief summary of the assistance you are seeking. You do not need to provide a detailed account of domestic abuse, financial information, legal documents or other sensitive personal information in your first message.

We will explain the next steps and whether further information is necessary.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, please use a safe method of communication and a device or account that cannot be accessed by someone who may be monitoring you.

If you are in immediate danger, call 999. If you cannot speak on a mobile call, follow the emergency operator's instructions and press 55 when prompted.

Our Commitment Until December 2026

Between now and December, we will be giving particular attention to enquiries concerning domestic abuse, financial hardship connected with those circumstances, and difficulties understanding legal and administrative information.

This does not mean that our other TFC services are closing. They remain available according to our capacity.

Our intention is to make our support clearer and more accessible, while recognising that some circumstances require assistance beyond what we can provide.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, struggling financially or finding it difficult to understand the support available to you, please get in touch.

We may not be the right service for every situation, but we can listen to your initial enquiry, explain what we offer and, where possible, help you identify a more appropriate source of assistance.

At Thrive Forward Coaching, we believe that every person deserves to be treated as a human being first.

Clarity. Direction. Alignment.
