When gathering evidence, people naturally select what they believe is the strongest or most important information.
However, the evidence that feels most important to the person may not answer the specific question being asked by the professional working on their case.
I have found that clients sometimes have the information they need, but misunderstand the question. As a result, they may leave out a date, message, document or small detail because it appears unimportant. Yet that apparently minor information may provide essential context or be the detail that properly answers the question.
Through TFC Legal Insight, we help clients slow the process down, understand what is being requested and review the information available before deciding that something has no value.
The evidence and the client’s experience remain their own. TFC Legal Insight's role is to help them understand the request, recognise potentially relevant information and present their material clearly and accurately.
Sometimes, the problem is not that the evidence is missing. It is that the importance of the information has not yet been understood.
